William "Bill" Joseph Dicamillo

Bill passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023 surrounded by his family in Grand Junction at Ferris Hospice Care Center.

Bill was born in Delta Co to Joe and Flora (DeJulio) Dicamillo on July 30, 1940. He was one of thirteen children. Bill spent his childhood years in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1958. In February 1962 Bill married the love of his life, Gloria P. Quintana, they were married for 62 wonderful years. Bill was a very proud hard working man. He farmed on the family farm, in Delta in his younger years. Bill left farming and went to work at Texaco in Olathe for a few years. Bill and Gloria moved to Montrose, where they made their family home. He entered the sawmill business in Montrose, in 1969, where he held varies positions before his retirement as sawmill foreman in 2002. In 2015, Bill received a gift of a kidney from his younger brother Dean, which allowed him to be with his family longer. Bill loved hunting on the grand mesa with his brothers, fishing, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

Bill is preceded in death by his two daughters; Janet Lee, Patricia Ann, infant great granddaughter; Bryn Joy Wood, two brothers; Lawrence, George, one sister Mary, and his mother and father.

Bill is survived by his wife Gloria Dicamillo, sons Matt (Pam) Dicamillo, of Texas, Kenneth (Sara) Dicamillo, of Delta Co, and his daughter Sandra (Ron Knob) Dicamillo, of Delta Co, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 9 siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Taylor Funeral Service & Crematory, 1682 1725 Rd., Delta CO. Burial will follow at Mesa View Cemetery, Delta Co with a luncheon at Dicamillo Party Shed, 19122 B50 Rd, Delta. Arrangements are under the care of Taylor Funeral Services & Crematory in Delta.
