September 22, 1955 — October 12, 2023

Montrose

Valeria"Pidge” Flowers Bollig passed away peacefully and surrounded by family, on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Pidge was born in Fort Carson, Colorado on September 22, 1955, to Kenneth and Patsy Flowers. In her younger years, Pidge lived in California, Arizona, and Texas, but the majority of her 68 years were spent in Western Colorado. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She graduated from Delta High School in 1973. Pidge was the oldest of her siblings, and also the eldest Flowers grandchild, something she was very proud of. Pidge, her sisters and brother and cousins made many childhood memories while spending time with their Smith and Flowers grandparents.

Pidge had a great love for music, especially “the oldies,” she enjoyed singing with family and especially loved to have her grandsons sing to her.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She could crack a joke better than most. Pidge loved to dance, and was the only grandchild who learned to clog dance.

Pidge enjoyed watching cooking shows, and while raising her girls, you could guarantee there was always something freshly baked in her kitchen.

Pidge had an undeniable love for her family. Her sister Kelly was her very best friend. She was a devoted mother and loved her daughters more than anything. When you met her, you felt as though you had always known her, she was loved by everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Pidge is survived by her daughters, Jamie Scoggin (Scott Flynn) and Misty (Benjamin) Guerra, Sister Kelly (Mike)Sims, grandchildren, Taylor (Tucker) Farmer, Dylan, Andrew, Tyler, Kasey, and Julianna. Great granddaughter Brynlee Kay, whom she adored. Sisters Cindi, Kathy, and Debbie, brother Shannon. Uncle’s, John and Allen and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins as well as countless close friends and neighbors.

Pidge was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, and Grandson Blake.

Blake and his Grandma Pidgie had an amazing bond, and it gives the family great comfort, knowing the two of them are together once again.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
