Obituary

Tonya Earnette Richardson passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2026, at the age of 65.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 on Monday July 20, 2026, at The General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn in Delta, Colorado. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 with Bro. Rusty Bellew and Bro. Joe Damelio officiating. Burial will follow in Pea Green Cemetery.

Tonya was born on September 22, 1960, in Tulare, California, to Earnie White and Vicksein (Baumgarten) White. Her mother strove to teach her the Faith, and she was baptized in April 1974 by Bro. Vernon Todd in Tulare, California.

She married the love of her life, Randy Richardson, on September 18, 1980. To this union, 11 biological children were born. During their marriage, Randy and Tonya lived in Kansas, California, Florida, Alabama, and Oklahoma. Tonya lived in Colorado for the last part of her life. All Tonya ever wanted to be was a Mom. Even with 11 children of her own, Tonya was always “adopting” extra kiddos. Tonya never turned anyone away. She always loved cooking and hosting huge dinners for whoever would show up. These meals usually consisted of fried chicken.

When Tonya was not being a mom or hosting the brethren, she enjoyed crocheting and doing plastic canvas while watching old westerns. She loved bragging about having 11 biological children. Some things she could be heard saying were: “When I find that Not Me kid” and “Can’t never could do nothing.”

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Earnie and Vicksein White; her husband, Randy Richardson; a daughter, Amber Dawn Richardson; a sister, Denise White; her adopted dad, Bruce Martin; her adopted sister, Karla Rossiter, and her bonus daughter, Nikki Simonson.

Tonya is survived by her sisters: Vanessa (Norman) Carmichael of Fortuna, California; and Linda Snyder of National City, California; her children: Chaunté Henley of Cushing, Oklahoma; Elisabeth (Marvin) Blackburn of Olive, Oklahoma; Roylee “Rollo” (Stacey) Richardson of Cushing, Oklahoma; Kimberly (Jason) McGehee of Delta; Mac (Brandi) Richardson of Owasso, Oklahoma; Bryan (Candace) Richardson of Cushing, Oklahoma; Ryan (D’Anna) Richardson of Stroud, Oklahoma; Aaron (Ashley) Richardson of Agra, Oklahoma; Rebekah (Brandon) Rossiter of Lexington, Oklahoma; and Molly (Blaise) Thumma of Cushing, Oklahoma; her grandchildren: Taiya Henley, Benjamin (Zoie), Hannah (Aaron) Porter, Simon (Kiera), Bethany (Ashton) Lybarger, Samuel, Brittany, Stella, Helen, Willie T., Carol Blackburn, Jeriah (Shayla), Keturah, Zac, Jeshuah, Elianah, Amaleah, Tiarah, Kiah, Jonah, Zjayanah, Azariah, Tashah McGehee, Stormy, David, Tucker, “Lil” Mac, Dixi Richardson, Madalyn, Lewis, Raymond, Annie, Suzanne, Henry, Nicolas Richardson, Conner, Alex, Aaron Jr., Abagail, Chloe Richardson, and Braxton Thumma; 2 great-grandchildren: Weston McGehee and Pearl Blackburn, with 2 more on the way.
