Timothy Neal Ward passed away, April 5, 2025 at 68 years of age after a brief fight with cancer.
Funeral services are pending, but he will be laid to rest with the rest of his family in Saratoga Wyoming at a later date.
Tim was born on November 6th, 1956 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Jean and Neal Ward. He grew up in a number of places as his father worked for the National Fish Hatchery. He graduated from Heber Springs High School in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He graduated from Foothills Vo-Tech school in 1978 for mechanics and spent many years of his life working in various parts of the mechanic industry.
He never married, but family was very important to him. He was very proud to be a Ward. He was self-sacrificing and took care of his mother in her later years.
He moved to the Western Slope of Colorado in the 1980s where he resided in Hotchkiss, Olathe, and Delta where he felt very much at home. He had a deep connection to Saratoga, WY as his grandfather homesteaded there a 100 years ago in 1925.
Tim enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. He enjoyed history and was a very proud American. He was a strong believer in American values. Tim was a faithful follower of Christ and loved the Lord with all his heart. Tim had a love for dogs treating his own dogs as a member of his family. Two of his favorites were Stonewall Jackson and his mother’s dog, Izzy. He spent countless hours playing his guitar. He and his brother Pat would entertain others by playing “Dueling Banjos.” Tim was a kind and caring person who would do anything for anybody, which was so evident when he took it upon himself to care for his mother for many years.
Tim was the last survivor of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his sister Julie, father Neal, brother Pat and mother Jean. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
