Thelma Yvonne McCain

Thelma Yvonne McCain passed away December 17, 2023, at 1458 Adobe Acers Rd in Delta. She was 59 years old.

Yvonne was born on December 24, 1963, in Sacramento, California to Geraldine Crider and Joe Burke, Jr. She grew up in Delta County. She met Darren McCain, and they married on May 16, 1981. They celebrated 42 years together. Yvonne has been a resident of the western slope for 51 years making Delta her home. Her chosen career path was food services where she was able to meet and touch many special lives. When not working, Yvonne enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and grandkids. Some of the most memorable things are sitting around the family home playing cards and listening to her contagious laugh. Yvonne is survived by Darren McCain of Delta, her daughter, Wendy Stanbery of Dover, Arkansas, Daniel McCain of Delta, Krysta Rivas of Colorado Springs, her grandson, Ryan McCain of Delta, Trinity McCain of Delta, Kiara Rynerson of Delta, Jayden Rivas of Colorado Springs, Iva McCain of Olathe, Khylie Rivas of Colorado Springs, Connor McCain of Olathe, McKenzie Rivas of Colorado Springs, and Wyatt McCain of Olathe. Yvonne is proceeded in death by her parents, Gerry Stevens, Joe Burke, her sister Sherri Stevens, and grandson Jesse “Bean” McCain.
