Susan J. Bond

Susan Bond passed away 12/10/2023 in the ICU of Delta Health Hospital.  She was 74.

Services will be held December 14th at 3pm at the First Baptist Church of Delta on Pioneer Rd, with a gathering to celebrate her life at the Delta Elks at 4pm.

She was born December 10, 1949, to George W. Ray, Jr and Lois Lucille (Carlson) Ray. She graduated from Delta High School in 1968. She attended one year at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Co where she met Keith (Moe) Bond, her true love.

She has 3 surviving children, Steven Ray (Bev), her nephew, which she raised every summer from the time he was 2, a daughter, Lezley 'Tater' (Jim Cross), and a son Jerett (Liz). Susan is also survived by her brother George W. Ray III (Susie).

They celebrated their 55th Anniversary together this year on December 12th after being apart for 15 years since Moe's passing in 2008. Not a day went by that she didn't want to join him, but it was not to be, she needed to carry on for her daughter, sons, their spouses and her wonderful Grandsons, Zachary Cordova (Robin Ross), Tylon Cordova (Kamdyn), Colton Cordova, Kameren Bond and Kaden Bond. She adored these 5 young men as well as her great grandkids, Colton 'Renn' Cordova, Ryker, Hudson, Cale and Brilee Olivia Cordova and her adopted grandkids Michael and Aleaha Davis, Liam and Paxtin Stelzer and Steele Patterson, along with the women who helped her everyday and kept her comfortable and gave her company, Doni Liddell, Shandra Proper and Malesa Stelzer and Nicole Quinnie and many others over the painful 15 years.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Keith Moe Bond, and her parents George W. Ray Jr. and Lois Ray.

These donations will be used to help get the wonderful caregivers through the holiday season.  We want to help the wonderful women who dedicated so many years providing invaluable care to our mom in any way we can.
