Shirley Anne Pitt

Shirley Anne Pitt passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born on August 26, 1938, to Edward Edwards and Beulah Reich Edwards in Paonia, Colorado at home.

She attended school at Paonia and graduated from Paonia High School in 1957. She later attended Business college in Denver CO. After college she worked as a secretary for her uncle Wes Edwards. That is where she met the love of her life, John E Pitt. They were married on March 23, 1960. They just lacked 2 days of celebrating 55 years of marriage when John passed away.

To this marriage 5 children were born. Shirley is preceded in death by John Pitt, her mother and father, baby daughter Joyce, and her son Ed.

She is survived by daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Mike Hinton of Paonia. Son Ken and daughter-in-law Susan Pitt of Paonia. Son Dan Pitt of Lyman, WY. Daughter-in-Law Angela Pitt of Paonia, CO. 6 grandchildren John Hinton Kendra Hinton, Kayla Rouse, Eddie Pitt, Kale Pitt and Tiffany Morford. 10 Great Grand Children.

No services are planned per her request. Go high upon the mountain. She enjoyed picnics, embroidery, grandchildren, and family.
