Obituary

Robert Imhoff passed away on January 19, 2026, at the Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, from complications of glioblastoma. He was 56 years old.

A celebration of life will be held at Taylor Funeral service on his birthday, March 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception at Center for Spiritual Life (658 Howard Street, Delta, CO - across from Cleland Park).

Robert was born on March 2, 1969, in Hollywood, California, to Myriam Theresa (Leferve) Imhoff and Richard Lee Imhoff. He grew up in Lakeside, California where he met his lifelong friends - they called themselves the Wildcat pack. Robert graduated from El Capitan high school in 1987. Robert continued his education at Grossmont College, and Miramar College in California.

Robert later traveled to Colorado to work with one of his best friends. After the job ended and following the unexpected loss of that friend, he chose to stay. He made Delta, Colorado his home for three decades. In 1995 he began working at City Market in Delta, and made many friends including Melanie Clair. In April of 2000 they married, and in October of 2001,welcomed their son Richard (Ryan) Imhoff into the world, naming him after Robert's father.

Robert worked in various career fields and met many friends along the way. After City Market, Robert got his CDL licence and became a truck driver for Red Hat and then for Keebler. He later transitioned to the coal mines and worked at Bowie and West Elk mines. He ultimately pursued a career in nursing with motivation and encouragement of close friends. He obtained his CNA, LPN, and BSN through the Technical College of the Rockies, and Colorado Mesa University. Robert truly found his passion being a nurse and even inspired his son to follow in his footsteps. His desire to continue working, despite his illness, was evidence in this passion and his connection with his Delta health family. His story telling and infectious laugh will be forever remembered. When not working. he loved spending time with his son Ryan, and their dogs. Together they enjoyed hunting, going to the gym, golfing, gathering with friends to watch fantasy football in action - especially the Chargers.

He found gardening, yard work, and home projects to be therapeutic. His hard work shows.

Robert is survived by his son Richard Ryan Imhoff of Austin, Colorado, who will remain in their home. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Richard Imhoff and Myriam Imhoff
