Patricia "Pat" Louise O'Dell

Patricia (Pat) Louise O’Dell, 87, of Delta, Colorado, peacefully passed away January 15, 2024.

She was born to the late Rudolph and Virginia Herrmann, August 22, 1936, in Denver, Colorado. Pat graduated from Brighton High School in 1954 and received a BSN in Nursing from the University of Michigan in 1958.

She married her high school sweetheart Stephen (Steve) Nathaniel O’Dell in 1957. Together they raised five daughters while living and moving for work in Michigan, Colorado, Wake Island, Alaska, and Minnesota.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Steve and their five daughters: Karen Borg (Von) of Minnesota; Susan Huene (Doug) of Colorado; Lisa Pilger (Steve) of Arizona; Stephanie O’Dell-Robinson (David) of Minnesota; Kristi Burns (Kevin) of Maryland. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren: Brian, Aidan, Emily, Jacob, Michael, Jon, Hannah, Jarod, Joseph, Kaelyn, Nate, Hadleigh, and one great granddaughter, Eliza.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Jim Herrmann.

Pat enjoyed traveling the world and especially enjoyed the retirement years of motorhome life crisscrossing the United States spending time with family and friends. She embraced various hobbies in her life; piano, sewing, gardening, making stained glass and reading. Pat’s faith in God and involvement in church was very important to her throughout her life. She was very proud of her daughters and their accomplishments and loved watching her grandchildren grow up.

She will be greatly missed by all those who love her.
