Nicholas Robert Darrow December 1, 1954 – September 26, 2025

Nicholas Robert Darrow, 70, of Delta, Colorado, passed away on September 26, 2025, in his hometown. Born December 1, 1954 in Delta, he was the youngest child of Nicholas Edmund Darrow and Dorothy Jeane Foster. He received his bachelor’s and JD from the University of Colorado and MBA from Pennsylvania State University.

He began his career working as a lawyer with his father on Dodge Street. A work trip to Denver introduced him to Cecilia Marie McGlinn, who he married six months later, in May of 1983. Nick built a long and successful career in risk management at Mellon Bank (subsequently Bank of New York Mellon) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2014, Nick and Cecilia moved to Long Island, NY, where they embraced their love of good food, built cherished friendships, and enjoyed the flavors of the city.

An avid golfer, Nick treasured time on the course and counted a hole-in-one at Pebble Beach among his proudest accomplishments. After retiring to Delta, he enjoyed time with old and new friends and remained active in the community through his service with the Rotary Club.

Nick is survived by his wife, Cecilia Darrow; his children Nicholas John (Jacqueline Anne) Darrow, and Lucia Marie Darrow; his granddaughter Willa Rose Darrow; his sisters Debra (Robert) LaBerge and Judy Wood. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, generous spirit, and deep love for his family and friends. A Catholic service will be held on November 14th at 10 a.m. at St Michael’s in Delta.
