Marie Salman Washburn

Marie Salman Wahburn of Delta, CO, left this life at 87 on December 22,2025. Born on February 25, 1938, to the late Sybil Jewett Salman and Kenneth Allen Salman Sr. in Oakland, CA. 

She lived a full life with a passion for fashion and Welsh Corgis. She majored in merchandising at the University of Missouri. She was driven and successful. 1st as a buyer with Stix, Baer and Fuller and followed by being the 1st woman Store Manager for the Denver Dry Goods Company, as well as the 1st President of the Southglenn Merchants Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ball Washburn and sisters, Joan Rhodes and Ruth Sprague. Marie is survived by a sister, Barbara Kelley and a brother, Kenneth Salman Jr.
