Margaret Irene Travis

Margaret “Markee” Irene Travis passed peacefully in Delta, Colorado on 1/23/2026. She was born on 7/9/1950 in Youngstown, Ohio. 

She was a long time resident of Cedaredge and moved to that area in 1980 with her husband & best friend John Travis. She was a lifelong artist who excelled at pottery & photography & she owned Markee’s Main Street Gallery in Cedaredge from 1986 to 2000. She was also a longtime librarian at Cedaredge Public Library, where she retired. She is survived by her husband & best friend John Travis, her sons Eric, Omiah, Kevin & Michael, her daughters in law Brigid, Piper & Lynda, her grandchildren Solomon, Sienna, Julius, Johanna, Jordana & Wilder, her wonderful friends and her many cats & dogs. She will be greatly missed! We love you Markee!
