Manuelita D. Munoz of Delta, Colorado, unexpectedly passed away on August 21, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Mrs. Munoz had been a resident of Delta for her entire life.

She was born January 5, 1949, to Toney Valdez and Juanita Sanchez in Delta. She spent her childhood and attended school in Delta.

She married Belisario Munoz on August 19, 1972, in Delta.

Mrs. Munoz was a member of the Gunnison Valley Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening, especially roses, reading her Bible, volunteering at her church, and homemaking.

She is survived by her husband and two sons: Tony Munoz (Julie) of Broomfield, Colorado and Ben Munoz (Jean) of Delta, Colorado. She is also survived by sisters: Jane Sandoval (John) of Grand Junction and Christine Valdez of Delta, and a brother, Paul Valdez of Grand Junction and her nieces who were raised as sisters: Monica Mathews (Steve) of Delta and Katherine Olson (Michael) of Long Beach, California. She also leaves numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as fur babies Sadie, Roo, and Dulce of Denver and Georgia, Gabby, and Spencer of Delta. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Fedelia, Adella, Della, Delphina, Corinna, Ruth, and Margaret, and brothers Tony Jr., Alfred, Gilbert, and Valentine.

A funeral service will be held at the Gunnison Valley Church of the Nazarene on September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Mrs. Munoz will be laid to rest at the Mesa View Cemetery in Delta.
