Hotchkiss resident Lester (Lee) Kendall passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta, Colorado. He was 96 years old.
A graveside service will be held August 24th, at 10:00 am, at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss.
Lee was born to Margaret (Maggie) Maxwell and Ira Arthur Kendall on July 8, 1928, in Yuma, Colorado. He was the sixth of fifteen children.
When he was thirteen the family moved to the Hotchkiss and North Fork area. On August 7th, 1950, he married his one true love Lucy Bohn. To this union four children were born. The couple made their home in the North Fork Valley for 70 plus years.
Lee enjoyed riding horses, carpentry, tinkering with old cars and spending time with his family. Lee is survived by his daughters Laura McCurdy (Bill), Margaret Osborn ( George), Bonnie Holder (Don) and son Tom Kendall Gloria). He is further survived by his sister Eunice Davis, sister-in-law Dolores Kendall, ten grandchildren , 27 great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.
Lee was proceeded in death by his wife, parents, fifteen siblings and one great grandson.
