Katherine “Sue” Seuell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Sarasota, Florida. She was 83.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10 am at Taylor Funeral Home in Delta, CO. No graveside service will follow.
Sue was born on Aug. 23, 1940, in Colorado Springs, CO, to John and Mildred (Hubbard) Campbell. She spent her childhood in Colorado Springs, CO, Kansas City, MO, and Los Alamos, NM, before moving to Littleton, CO, with her family in 1953. She attended Littleton High School, where she was a majorette and met her high school sweetheart, William “Bill” Seuell. She graduated in 1958.
On September 9, 1961, Bill and Sue were married in Littleton, Colorado, and remained together for 49 years before Bill’s passing in 2011. In 1974, with their two children, Mike and Cheri, the family moved to Delta, CO. Sue was a loving wife, mom, and homemaker. She was actively involved with the PTA at school and was always one of the parents you could count on when something needed to be done. She played a crucial role in founding the Delta Youth Bowling League in the 1970s, and she was very active in the Delta High School Booster Club for many years. After her children graduated from Delta High School, she became involved with the Delta Senior Center, serving in various capacities, including as a board member, bus driver, and other roles as needed. Sue was also actively involved with the Meals on Wheels program for many years.
Sue enjoyed the outdoors, actively boating and camping her entire life. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and traveling the country with Bill before his passing in 2011.
Sue is survived by a son and his wife, Mike and Danya Seuell of Grand Junction, CO; a daughter and her husband, Cheri & Greg Ady of Sarasota, FL; and three grandchildren, Chase Seuell of Lincoln, MT, Easton Seuell of Fairbanks, AK, and Rachel Ady of Sarasota, FL. She has two great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s name to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, PO Box 24, Delta, CO 81416.
