Karl Patrick Kelley passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at his home in Crawford, Colorado. He was 51 years old.
Karl was born on October 26, 1973 at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska to Dawn Katherine (Krismer) Kelley and Karl Paul Kelley. He grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin and graduated from Central High School in 1992.
Since his mother passed away when he was two, he and his dad were very close and had many adventures and travels together. After graduation from high school, Karl moved to Fort Collins, Colorado with friends and stayed in Colorado for over 20 years, working in the hospitality industry in various roles. After moving back to Wisconsin, he spent time with his father in Chilton and worked on remodeling his Dad’s house. After that he moved back to La Crosse to spend time with his grandma who was like a mom to him since his own mother’s passing.
Karl made his way back to Colorado in 2019, residing in Loveland and working as a handyman. Delta County became his home in 2023, when he moved to the Western Slope to live with his good friend, Tim, for a short time. He enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities, including hiking in the mountains. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports. He was very creative and enjoyed drawing.
Karl is survived by his aunts, Karen (Steve) Munns, Sandy (Thomas) Thompson, Barbara (Krismer) Elsen, and uncle Scott Krismer, all of Onalaska, WI.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal grandparents Patrick and M. Mildred (Adams) Kelley, his maternal grandparents Adolph and Janet (Gajewsky) Krismer, and uncle Steve Krismer.
His family would like to thank Tim Owens for all his help and countless friends of Karl who cared about him throughout the years.
