Jay Lewis Bellew

Oct 29, 2019 — Oct 6, 2026

Grand Junction, Colorado

Jay Lewis Bellew, son of Zachary and Amanda Bellew, was born on October 29, 2019, in Grand Junction, Colorado. God Called him home on October 6, 2026, at the age of 6. He was attending Orchard Avenue as a 1st grader.

Jay brought joy to everyone he was around. He was a mama’s boy and his dad’s best friend. Over the years he had lots of different interests including Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, Paw Patrol, Minecraft, Legos, Number Blocks, and Ninjago. If anyone was open to listen, he would tell them everything there was to know about whatever his current interest was. On July 4, 2022, Jay became a big brother to Cecilia Bellew. He loved his little sister, and they quickly became close friends. Jay loved going to school and took great care to follow all of the rules. He was so proud that he was a good kid. He would walk home from school all by himself and his mom would wait for him in the front yard. Jay would always greet her with the biggest smile on his face. Jay had such a creative mind and loved to make things. He would build and draw and invent all kinds of things. He wanted to have all his guests at his upcoming birthday party do a scavenger hunt and had been planning it for almost a month. Jay loved to play fight with his wooden swords that he made with his dad. His favorite color was red and his favorite thing about himself was his red shoes. He was rarely seen without his red shoes. He loved to ice skate with his family and always tried to get his dad to play Pokemon hockey. Jay loved people so deeply and you could feel it. He was a cool, smart, kind, and funny kid. He never did anything halfway. He was always all in. His family is going to miss him deeply.

Jay is survived by his parents Zachary and Amanda Bellew, Sister Cecilia Bellew, Grandpa and Grandma Anthony and Michelle Sweet, Papa and Nana Russel and Brandi Bellew, Great Grandparents Barbara Sweet, Debbie Sprout, Doreen Smith, Greg Gibson, and Pam Wilkinson, Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and lots of friends.
