Gail Ann Dallas, of Cedaredge, Colorado, was born on April 21, 1957 in Goshen, New York and was sadly taken away from us too soon in the early morning of July 31, 2024. She grew up in many towns throughout Orange County, New York before moving to Colorado in 1990 calling Cedaredge her home ever since. Gail was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
Gail’s early years were full of family and friends while growing up in New York. She was raised by her mother, Rose, and father, George. She had an incredibly strong bond with her grandmother and grandfather, Laura and Walter Quick. Gail’s relationship with her grandmother is the root of her faith that guided her through her life. Gail was the second oldest of five children and leaves behind Mark, Susan, Karen, and Joey. Her passions during her early years were music and her time with the Drum Corp. Gail couldn’t pass by a baton without the need to twirl it and recreate her routines with the Drum Corp.
Gail pursued many interests throughout her time here with us. She loved gardening and spending time outside. Some of her fondest memories were camping and hiking trips with her family when they were all a bit younger. Gail loved reading and at times would go through multiple books in a week. The holidays were a special time for Gail and even though they may not be expecting guests, she would put on a holiday display worthy of a magazine cover.
Gail is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dane Dallas. They were married on April 26, 1980. Together they had three children who have inherited her vibrant spirit and love of family. Joshua, Lanissa, and Michael were the pride and joy of her life. Gail loved traveling to see her children and watching them become parents. Gail treasured her grandchildren, Taliah, Braedyn, and Xander more than anything and being ‘Nani’ was the biggest blessing of her life. Her love of her grandchildren was a shining light and a beacon that brought the entire family closer.
Gail will be remembered for her warm smile, loving spirit, and enduring faith. She was compassionate, loyal, honest, tough, and devout. Gail was always quick with a hello and straight to stories about her children and grandchildren. Her infectious personality was always there to help those that needed a little boost when they were down. Gail drew strength and guidance from her belief in faith and there is some peace in knowing that she met her Lord and Savior at the gates of Heaven. Her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren who will continue to inspire the same way she did.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in her memory or to her family to help cover end-of-life expenses.
