Fred M. Boulay: beloved father, husband and member of his community passed away on April 17, 2026.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary Boulay; his sons: Shane, Jonathan and stepson, Micah.

Fred was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam war. He served in the United States Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic with both the Fighting 33 and the Black Aces, squadrons VF 33 and 41 attached to the USS Enterprise and Independence. Fred went on to become a successful plumber/pipefitter for over 30 years before retiring to their beautiful home in Cedaredge.

Fred was an active community volunteer at the Cedaredge Food Bank and well-respected member of the Surface Creek Community Church. Fred was loved by all for his open warmth and friendly smile. He loved helping others and made an impact wherever he went.

Fred will be sorely missed by the many lives he touched and the people who love him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Surface Creek Community Church in Austin, Colorado. After the service, a Celebration of Life and Potluck/BBQ will be held around 12:30-1:00 pm at the Orchard City Community Park. Please bring a dish if you are able.
