Floyd "Everett" Menegatti

Floyd “Everett” Menegatti passed away April 5, 2024 at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta, CO.  He had a peaceful transition with his wife Carmen and daughter Michelle by his side.

Everett was born July 14, 1948 in Denver to Joe and Dorothy (McLaughlin) Menegatti.  He was raised in Central City , CO where he attended school until his senior year.  He graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1968 in Idaho Springs, CO.  

In 1969 he met and married his life partner Carmen.  They raised one daughter Michelle together.

Everett started his career at Coors Ceramics later moving to the Container then the Brewery where he retired in 2004 after 35 years.

After retiring Everett and Carmen left their home of many years in Golden, CO and moved to Battlement Mesa for a short time.  In 2007 they made their way to Delta County making their home in Eckert.

Everett was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and good friend to so many.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.   He enjoyed traveling and looked forward to those summer trips to spend time with family and friends.  Everett has been described by so many as being big hearted, a kind soul and willing to always lend a helping hand.  He loved a good joke/prank and had a contagious laugh.   

Everett is survived by his wife Carmen of 55 years, daughter Michelle (Stacy) Romero, granddaughter Emma (who he adored) of Lakewood, CO, nephew Bob (Wanda) Ellis of East Prairie, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Dorothy, sister Ilona, brother Gene and niece Debra.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Golden, CO at a later date.
