Esmeralda Garcia

Esmeralda (Mallett) Garcia, born October 31st 1939, to Joseph and Louisa Mallett of Alice, Texas, was called home to be with  our Lord and Savior on February 9th 2026. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years Arturo A (Tony) Garcia of Cedaredge, Colorado and their 4 children Sylvia Buentello (Pete), Esmeralda Bodine (Lala), Arturo A Garcia Jr "Peanut" (Brenda), Sofia Meyer (Shawn), all of their cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Maria Castillo of Lenwood California, and Patsy Rivera of San Antonio Texas, and a brother in law Eladio (Eddie) Garcia of Eckert, Colorado.  

A true servant with love and grace she gave her warmth everywhere--from boutique sales to playground whistles.  A devoted wife, unmatched mother and grandma who loved to shop for the most perfect gift.  She also loved everything about camping trips, fishing, cooking at hunting camps and enjoying the cozy crackle of campfires.  She is deeply missed.

A celebration of Life Service will be hosted by her family and friends at her home on February 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
