It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Emma A. Terrazas at HopeWest in Grand Junction on July 25, 2026. She was 74 years of age with her husband Jimmy at her bedside.
She was born on August 2, 1951, in La Garita, Colorado, to Trinidad Torres and Emma Vialpando. At an early age, she moved to Montrose, Colorado, with her grandparents. She attended school in Montrose.
In 1972, she met the love of her life, Jimmy Terrazas. Together they celebrated 52 wonderful years.
She enjoyed reading, watching her soap operas and her mysteries.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy; their children, Candida (Brad) Hager, Anthony (Noberta) Salazar, Anita (Alvaro) Montes, Sandy Monfeda, and Brenda Salazar; sisters, Betty Garcia and Cora Jaramillo; brothers, Ben Vialpando and Ronnie Vialpando; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren, with one on the way.
