Ella Lani was born on February 23, 1954, in Tonopah, Nevada to Joan Hecker and Victor Lani. She lived in Tonopah, then Yerington, Nevada before moving to Olathe, CO where she spent most of her childhood before moving to Loveland, CO, before returning to the western slope, settling in Delta, CO.

Ella met her first husband Joseph Robins in Delta and to them was born a daughter, Stephany. The two were together for 4 years before ultimately separating.

Ella remained in Delta until she met her second husband, Patrick Clements, then moved to Redmond, Washington, and to them was born a son, Jeremiah. They remained together for 11 years.

Four years later, Ella was to find love again in in Oklahoma in a man named Richard Jarvis, and to them was born a son, Joshua. They were to separate shortly thereafter.

Ella relocated many times over the course of her lifetime, from Nevada to Colorado, Colorado to Washington, back to Colorado then briefly to California, then back to Colorado then on to Oklahoma, but ultimately returned to Colorado, the place where she spent her childhood and still loved.

Ella had many different jobs throughout her life and liked to try new things. She most enjoyed working with children and doing creative things. She enjoyed spending time with family, attending church, traveling, making beaded jewelry, collecting antiques, and was a voracious reader. She enjoyed music, art, opera, and comedy. She was very funny, always tried to bring light to dark times and find every cloud’s silver lining. Ella had so much love to give and gave it freely. She is and will be deeply missed.

Ella is survived by her two brothers, Alan of Montrose, and Tony of Mack, her children, Stephany, Jeremiah, and Joshua, and grandchildren, Gabriella, Paige, Justin, Cohen, and Jane.

Ella is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Joan Abbott of Montrose, as well as a grandson, Lane Giles of Bucksport, Maine.
