Dixie Lee Garcia Schroeder

Dixie Lee Garcia Schroeder was born August 3, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to Dorthy and Rex Price and passed away October 10, 2026, in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was 88 years old.

A viewing and graveside service will be held on October 23, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta, Colorado.

Dixie grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and El Segundo, California. She graduated from El Segundo High. After graduation Dixie worked for the El Segundo Tile Company. There, she met Jeremias Garcia and they married in September 1957. They settled in Delta, Colorado, in 1967. Dixie and Jerry were married for 35 years before Jerry’s death in 1992

Dixie enjoyed gardening, tole painting, counted-cross stitch, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Dixie is survived by one brother, Robert Price of San Diego, California, and five children.

Cynthia Riggan (Husband, Jim Riggan), Tina Carothers Wilson (Husband, Brian Wilson), John Garcia (Wife, Patty Garcia), Tony Garcia, Robert Garcia (Wife, Jessica Garcia), 10 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-grandchildren.

Dixie was proceeded in death by her husband Jeremias Garcia, parents Rex and Dorthy Price, her oldest brother Bobby Joe Price. Also, her sister Sally Ann Poinier, and granddaughter, Heather M. Carothers.
