Delores Ruth “Butch” Kendall from Paonia, Colorado, passed away peacefully in her sleep, with family by her side. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother who took great pride in her role as the heart of her family.
Delores met the love of her life, Darrell Kendall, and married in 1951, beginning a life centered on family, love, and dedication. Together they raised six children, creating a home filled with warmth and car. She took great pride in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother, always placing her loved ones first.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Glenna (Sam) Corbett (deceased); Darrell (Liz) Kendall of Cedaredge, Colorado; Larry Kendall of Paonia, Colorado; Ron Kendall of Paonia, Colorado; Lanny (Jill) Kendall of Eckert, Colorado; and Sylvia (Paul) Morton of Virginia, Illinois.
Delores was blessed with a large and loving family, including 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous step-grandchildren, all of whom brought her joy.
She enjoyed crocheting and going to yard sales, but most of all she cherished time spent visiting with family and friends. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Minnie Wood; her beloved husband, Darrell Kendall; her daughter and son-in-law, Glenna and Sam Corbett; and numerous other family members and dear friends.
A Graveside and Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on June 13, 2026, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Delores “Butch” Kendall will forever be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to family, and the many lives she touched.
