It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debra S. Hunt, a remarkable woman whose life was filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her family. Debra passed away at the Hope West Center in Grand Junction, on July 15, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by family. She was born on April 6, 1956, in Custer, South Dakota, to Royce and Marie McRobbie, who predeceased her. She was the 4th of 7 kids and the first daughter. Marie was so excited.

Debbie's life was a testament to the strength of love and family. On January 3, 1982, she married her beloved husband, Scott Hunt. Together, they built a beautiful life over 44 years on a small ranch in Crawford, Colorado, raising their two cherished daughters, Ty (Jody) Ware and Cas (Nik) Osantowski. The ranch was not just a home but a sanctuary of warmth and joy, where Debra and Scott cultivated a loving environment for their family.

Throughout her life, Debbie worked tirelessly in various roles, but her most treasured and fulfilling job was being a devoted wife, mother, and Grammy. Her heart swelled with pride and joy as she spoiled her four grandchildren, Sam and Grace Ware and Owen and Kai Osantowski. She delighted in teaching them the art of mischief, playing with them, and sharing moments of laughter that will forever remain etched in their hearts.

Known for her playful and spirited nature, Debbie had a knack for bringing smiles and laughter to those around her. She was often the instigator of friendly food and water fights and cussing while playing cards. She would use humor to provide comfort to her loved ones, lightening their burdens and reminding them that it will be alright, and she was there for them. Always.

Debbie was also a nurturing soul with a deep love for animals, often caring for those she took in or that her children and grandchildren brought home. Her yard was her pride, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Beyond her family, Debbie extended her kindness to the community, volunteering to assist seniors with their taxes, and serving as a foster parent. She also started a Preschool and Girl scout troop so that her kids and others would be able to experience it.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Scott, her daughters and sons-in-law, Ty and Jody, Cas and Nik, and her adored grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike, Tom, and Paul (Roxy) McRobbie, her sisters-in-law JoAnn McRobbie, Pete(Jerry) Cunningham and Suzy(Rex) Gardner and numerous nieces and nephews. She joins in eternal rest her parents, her in-laws Jack and Alice Hunt, her sisters Pam Wyatt and Sheila Gaston, her brother Dave McRobbie, and her nephew Robert McRobbie.
