Debbie passed from this life on June 9th, 2026, in Vici, Oklahoma, at the age of 62.
Debbie was born on May 17th, 1964, in Palisade, Colorado, to Cecil Gordon Morris and Sandra Elaine (Wilson) Morris. She spent the majority of her life living in the Grand Junction, Colorado area attending Fruitvale Elementary, Bookcliff Middle School, and Central High School. Debbie also attended and received an Associate’s Degree for medical billing at the Technical College. And then in later years, moved to the Delta/Montrose, Colorado area. Debbie moved to the Vici, Oklahoma area shortly before passing.
Throughout her working years, Debbie worked as a receptionist for a physical therapist, dental office and the facilities maintenance department at St. Mary’s Hospital. Debbie also started a career in the trucking industry as an over the road driver delivering freight to various cities across the United States. In later years, Debbie continued her career as a receptionist for various companies.
Debbie loved watching baseball, whether she was attending a tournament game or watching her grandkids play. She also loved to hunt. Filling lots of deer tags with her father, son, and brother-in-law. Debbie also enjoyed sewing, crafting and spending time outdoors appreciating God’s creations. Debbie loved to cook, bake and would often make cinnamon rolls made from her Grandmother and Aunt’s recipes. Her faith was an important part of her life. She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on April 16th, 1979 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Debbie was blessed with two children from her marriage to Scott Branham, her daughter, Samantha and her son, Levi, who remained among her greatest joys and accomplishments.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Elaine Morris; her grandparents, Elmer and Norma Morris and Otis and Vera Wilson; her granddaughter Sydney Branham; her brother in law, Doug Jacob; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Samantha Platt and her husband, Jeremy of Redvale, Colorado and their children Jaidyn, Joshua and wife Viviana, and Hayden; her son, Levi Branham and his wife, Miriam of Delta, Colorado and their children Carson, Blake, Brooklyn and Jordan; her sister, Lori Jacob; nephews: D.J. Jacob and Brian Jacob and wife Madison; niece, Danielle Esser and husband Aaron; as well as numerous other relatives and many cherished friends.
