Colton Carl Cordova was finally found on July 11, 2024 at the Delta Round-Up Club grounds after being an actively missing person since September 26, 2022.
Services for his Celebration of Life will be held on August 8, 2024 at Delta First Baptist Church 1250 Pioneer Road at 4:00 pm. Following the Celebration, it will continue at Delta Elks Lodge.
Colton was born July 29, 1998 to Lezley Bond and James Cordova. He grew up attending Delta schools and finished his High School years with better wrestling opportunities at Hotchkiss High School where he graduated in 2016. He then went on to build swimming pools and was able to travel with these companies and see the United States and the World. He loved Alabama and Jamaica. When he was home, he enjoyed his time with his wonderful son, Renn, who was his “mini-me” and a spittin’ image of his Daddy. They would go motorcycle riding, fishing and hunting. Renn especially like turkey hunting. And singing, Colton loved to sing and ride bulls which he would do and take Renn along. He met many people along the way and grew to have many friends.
Colton LIVED life! He would always say “I’m a grown ass man and I’ll do what I want.”
He is survived by his son, Colton Renn Jr. of Montrose, CO; his parents, Lezley Bond of Delta and James Cordova of Grand Junction; his brothers, Zack Cordova of Grand Junction and Tylon Cordova (Kamdyn) of Parachute; his paternal grandparents, Julian and Ida Cordova of Grand Junction; nephews, Ryker, Hudsyn and Cale and niece, Brilee Cordova. He is also survived by his uncles, Jerett (Liz) Bond of Cedaredge, Clint Cordova of Gunnison and Steven (Bev) Ray of Alaska; an aunt, Jeona (Mark) Medina of Brighton; cousins, Nick (Autumn) Medina of Grand Junction, Jessica (Eric) Brown of Littleton, Kameren Bond of Grand Junction and Kaden Bond of Cedaredge. He has numerous extended family and friends that loved him so much and are devastated that he is gone.
Colton was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Keith “Moe” and Susan Bond and great-grandparents who helped raise him, Annabel Bond Harrington and George and Lois Ray.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor for his son Renn Cordova c/o Lezley Bond at any Alpine Bank branch.
