Charlie Ray Weller

Charlie passed away on October 11, 2026, at St Mary’s in Grand Junction due to a fall. He was 83.

Charlie was born on August1, 1943, to June (Farmer) Weller and Charlie Harrison Weller in LaJunta, Colorado.

On a chicken ranch, he was 3 years old when they moved to Paonia. His occupations included a butcher, horse trader, and coal miner. Charlie was an avid Harley rider!

He met the love of his life, Anita Hess, and they were married August 7, 1966, and were married almost 60 years. They had one daughter, Joann Mae Weller.

Charlie loved hunting, fishing, camping, and vacationing with family. Most of all he loved his Harley trike. He called it his therapy bike.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Janet (Ken) Stroud; his niece, Sandy (John) George; a nephew, Lonny (Corrie) Stroud; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, daughter, parents, and one sister, Vera Gallob.
