Ann Allene Correll

December 16, 1956 — January 7, 2026

Delta/Stephenville TX

Ann Allene Helberg Correll passed away on Wednesday, January 7th, in Delta, Colorado, at the age of 69. She was born on December 16, 1956.

Ann grew up in North Platte, Nebraska, where she was most often found either in the rodeo arena or at the family sale barn. She competed in high school rodeo and was crowned Nebraska High School Rodeo Queen in 1973. After graduating, Ann continued to rodeo and train horses for many years. Her love for the “game” of rodeo never faded.

An artist at heart, Ann expressed herself through many creative outlets. She was a writer, artisan, and musician who created jewelry, painted, drew, sculpted and enjoyed singing and plucking around on her banjo. Life wasn’t complete for Ann unless there was a dog nearby. She trained the most wonderful dogs, most recently Jazzy and Xena, who brought her great joy.

Ann was also a true entrepreneur, with a gift for recognizing potential in people and ideas. She worked with Doncaster, Mary Kay, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Ford, Volkswagen, NebraskaLand Days, Morfitt Farms and many other companies. Her greatest passion came from helping others reach their potential. With an educator’s spirit, she mentored new business owners and trained business associates in leadership and logistical principles. Ann was the creator of Decision Literacy and was known as an integration architect, strategist, teacher, and “dot connector.”

Throughout her life, Ann lived across the country, including California, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, and Arizona. Wherever she went, acquaintances became friends, and friends became family. In her later years, Ann made her home in Delta, Colorado, where she focused on her favorite role of all—being a mom to her daughter, Callie, and “Cita” to her granddaughters, McKinley and Lillian. Though she wore many hats throughout her life, being Cita was, without question, her greatest honor. Her girls were her world, and she was theirs.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly and Glen Helberg. She is survived by her daughter, Callie Norell, and husband Payton, of Delta, Colorado; her two beautiful granddaughters, McKinley (5) and Lillian (1); her brother, Don Helberg, and wife Karen, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; her nephew, Dan Helberg, and wife Megan, of Taylor, Nebraska; and her cousins, Rebecca Giglio Stark and husband Jeff, and Susan Giglio Boyle and husband Jeff.

A service will be held on January 31 in Delta, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Andrew Wommack Ministries. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
