Alexander Griffin Ross Jr.

Alexander Griffin Ross Jr. passed away Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at his residence with his daughter-in-law, Heather, by his side. He was 82 years of age.
Alex was born in Dumas, Arkansas to Maggie Leona Underwood and Alexander Griffin Ross Sr. August 14th, 1940. He would spend about half of his youth in Dumas. The other half was spent in Porterville, California. He would graduate high school from Porterville High School. . Alex was called to serve in the Army from 13 November, 1963 to 12 November, 1965 (Vietnam Era) and was in the Army reserve until 12 November of 1969.
Alex became a Master Mason and would also become a master welder in the sheet metal business. He was a very hard worker and felt comfortable working rather than not. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, (especially pheasants) watching football, horse racing and baseball. He did not miss one of his sons’ high school games in the four years!
Alex had two children, a daughter Dawnette Leona Ross and a son, Alexander Griffin Ross III.
He is survived by his son Alexander III, Alexander III’s wife Heather Tafoya, granddaughter Lily-Ella, niece Rhonda Ann McDonald and step daughter’s Liz Ross, Paulette Macias, and Toni Emblem. Even though divorced his beloved Ada Ross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Mary Jane Pauchert, daughter Dawnette Ross, sister Maggie Ross, brother Hollis Lee Ross
