Gunnison County, Colorado and former Long Island, New York resident, Louise DeFilippo, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in her loving daughter’s arms. She was 81 years of age.

Louise, the youngest of nine siblings, was born on June 6, 1939 to Louie and Anita (Micali) Dellaquilla in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Brooklyn in 1957.
On October 25, 1958, Louise married John DeFilippo. To this union, one daughter was born.
Louise loved working at Schenck Trebel where she made many wonderful friends for over 33 years. She moved to rural Gunnison County Colorado from Deer Park, New York in October 2020 so that her daughter Theresa could care for her. She loved cooking and baking, especially baking her famous Christmas cookies and famous cheesecake. Louise was a member of St. Cyril Methodist Church.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Theresa Kaiser of Somerset and her five grandchildren: John, Tom, Crystal, Tiffany and Mikayla.
