Jesus Chavez, 68, of Delta, passed away on May 25, 2020 in his home.
Jesus Chavez was born in the town of El Pino, the Municipality of Chalchihuites in the State of Zacatecas, Mexico to Juan Chavez and Elena Zuniga on June 1st, 1951. He worked in Nebraska for many of his early years and made Colorado his home in the 90s. He worked as a farm hand, cook, construction worker, and rancher in his years with us.
Jesus is preceded in death by his mother, Elena Zuniga; his brother, Salvador Chavez, and his nephew Baudelio Roman.
Jesus is survived by his father, Juan Chavez; his brothers: Abel, Armando, Adalberto, Roberto, Manuel, Antonio, and Ricardo; his sisters: Belen, Guadalupe, Maria- Genoveva, and Erlinda.
Jesus enjoyed working and training horses. He put his heart and soul into his horses. He also enjoyed and loved family gatherings. He loved those who spent time with him. A special thanks to his neighbors, Noemi and Valente Olivas, who cared for him and always included him in their lives.
A viewing will take place for immediate family on May 30th.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
