Florence Delores Mcguire

Florence Delores McGuire of Delta, CO passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Paonia Care and Rehabilitation in Paonia, CO. She was 83 years old.
A private family service will be held at a later time at the Huffington Cabin which she loved so much.
Delores McGuire was born to John H. and Mary (Naydas) Everett on Feb. 20, 1938 in Mikado, Mich. She spent her childhood in Mikado and received her schooling in Oscoda, MI. She had resided in this area since 1992.
On May 12, 1955, she wed Sanford McGuire in Hale, MI. Mr. McGuire survives. Florence was a homemaker.
She enjoyed bowling and was a member of both the Michigan and Colorado Women’s Bowling Association. In addition to bowling, her other interests included gardening, flowers, and being outdoors. She helped build their cabin on the Uncompahgre, and cooked all the meals for everyone who helped with the construction. She received her greatest pleasure in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. They were the biggest enjoyment of her life and she was proud of each one of them. She made a difference in many lives. She also volunteered for many years with the Share Colorado program where she helped distribute food every month.
Surviving Mrs. McGuire is her husband, Sanford; three sons: David McGuire (Bettie) and Michael McGuire (Joette) both of Mikado, MI; Daniel McGuire (Elaine) of Windsor, CO; daughter, Deborah Huffington (Rick) of Delta, CO; as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Tim McGuire and brother John Everett.
