Debbie Allen Casey

Debbie Allen Casey (64) passed away on November 9, 2021, in Delta, after a brief illness. Debbie was born in Grand Junction on June 20,1957 to Dorothy I. (Schimpf) Allen and Robert S. Allen. A long-time resident of Palisade, Debbie graduated from Palisade High in 1976 and attended Mesa College where she earned an Associates Degree in office management and accounting. Debbie went on to earn an administrative assistant Associates Degree and a certificate in cosmetology. She worked for many years at the old 5-B market, was a teller at Palisades National Bank and a member of the Palisade Town Council. In later years, she worked in Grand Junction for Wal-Mart and Safeway. In 2014, Debbie moved to the Delta area, where she lived until her death.
In May of 1991, Debbie married Patrick Casey. The following year, their son John was born.
Debbie was a big fan of sports and enjoyed watching football games and cheering for her favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. She loved the desert and Saguaro cactus, and always dreamed of moving to Phoenix. She loved animals and kept many pets throughout her life. Debbie was a wonderfully social person and was a friend to everyone she met. She especially enjoyed the holidays when her friends and family would gather and visit.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jeff Allen, and a nephew.
She is survived by her husband Patrick, son John, step-mom Patricia Allen, brother Don (Ann) Allen and countless relatives and friends.
A celebration of life for Debbie will be held in Palisade next spring, she will be interred in Palisade Cemetery near her parents.
